playing with photos today, all day long. Uploading extra images on Scene Jewellery and Scene Kids Skinny Jeans products, cropping photos, adjusting lighting, all sweet duties. How quickly day passes when you forget about the world and simply work ;) Ahh, and writing creative and inspiring descriptions, that was the day for that, really creative time. Rest to do tomorrow, email marketing and reading bits (new magazine arrived today, they are relentless!) 

oh, this February is so slow, it feels like someone is rewinding the pavement under your feet, when you try to walk, I'm waiting for this month to be so over now :) I know it's only 4th day (another 24 to go) so definitely something to look forward to.. And did I mention - thank you spell checker for reminding me how many typos I make, but I have to say, sometimes you're wrong too :) photoshoot IS definitely a word!


Got first photos from the shoot yesterday, so re-sizing and uploading time, unbelievable, that some of the products had to wait few good months for decent image, damn... More Scene Hoodies and No Tail Jewelry coming up today :)


And I'm on the changing phase, I have made few cosmetic changes to website, and now thinking of sorting out all the Scene Hair and Emo make up articles and dividing them into two different pages, and all that put under 'BLOG'. It would be still part of little black cherry site, but just easier to find. 


Found out there's no point working  on new articles, and then hide them away.. So the blog is definitely coming up soon. Oh, and spell checker, blog is a word too!

working in a studio is always unexpected, will it be great day, full of awesome shots or time when everybody will be just waiting to go home? it's pretty difficult to create relaxed atmosphere, so the models feel happy to be there, which is all reflected in photos, equals they look happy wearing the clothes :) 
haha, i'm always bit stressed before every shoot, but I feel blessed by having a chance to shoot in most amazing studio in Plymouth University (big thank you again here goes to Simon Standing, Head of Photography), where we can use their fantastic equipment, lighting, cameras, backdrops etc. Only last week we've done another major photo shoot with Plymouth Uni students and gorgeous photo models: Twiggy von Lea and Chloe Forbes. Both had previous studio experience, which made this day most successful and it was totally awesome to work with them. 
I loved Twiggy's pink wig (so Audrey!) she made amazing quirky Scene Queen. Chloe was ideal as tender jewellery model, she simply rocked in Little Black Cherry's Big Baby Scene Jewellery range! 
We've shot new Living Dead Souls Hoodies and Scene Jewelry, so there were only 2 - 3 outfit changes for the girls. Now the results are in hands of five fantastic Uni students, who edit the photos and get them ready! Can't wait to see the full set, and look forward to our future projects!

How To Hook Jelly Bracelets?

Jelly (gummy) bracelets are very popular with Scene Kids, and can usually be purchased in a pack online. Some schools have devised secret coding for the colors of bracelets they wear. You can wear your jelly bracelets as is, or hook them together. Follow these steps to hook together your jelly bracelets.

• Find two jelly bracelets to hook together. You can use the same or different colors.
• Hold one bracelet in each hand, and place them on a table with the right one laying halfway over the top of the left one, so they look like a Venn diagram.
• Use your left thumb to press down on the left side of the right bracelet. Use the bottom of the same thumb to simultaneously hold down the left side of the left bracelet.
• Grasp the right side of the left jelly bracelet with your thumb and middle finger. Lift it about an inch through the middle of the right bracelet while still holding down your thumb on the left sides of the bacelet. Lightly hold down the right side of the right bracelet with the ring finger of your right hand.
• Bring the bracelet you are holding with your thumb and middle finger to the left, and push it down on the table into the middle of the left openning, moving your left thumb out of the way. Hook the left side of the right jelly bracelet with the middle finger of your right hand, and pull it about an inch.
• Pinch the left side of the left jelly bracelet between the thumb and index finger of your left hand. Pull it up while pushing your right thumb down and pulling your right middle finger up. Keep pressing down on the right bracelet with your right ring finger.
• Replace your right thumb with your right middle finger. Grab the free end of bracelet with your left thumb. Push down with the back of your right middle finger. Pull up with your left thumb and index finger, pinching the two bracelets together.
• Push your right hand through the new openning that you created with hooked jelly bracelets. It will be snug. You may have to push and stretch the bacelets to fit your hand through.
