How To Apply Rockabilly Make Up?

You have got the right clothing and jaw dropping hairstyle, now it's time to master true Rockabilly make up! It's all about looking bold – strong eye-liner, pale face, neutral colors and statement lips.




Start with a base: use a cream-based foundation that matches your natural skin color. Use a brush to apply foundation and blend it into the hairline, along the jaw line, and onto the neck to avoid a makeup line. A darker shade of foundation can be used as a bronzer; apply with a brush lightly where the sun would normally hit the skin - cheekbones, nose, forehead, and chin.


Classic cat eye

• Start with a cream eye base (primer) to keep the shadows and liner in place. Apply light neutral eye shadow over the entire lid from your lash line to the brow bone.
• Create thin line of black liquid eyeliner, getting thicker towards the outer corner and winging it out at the ends. A Q-tip can be used to correct any eyeliner mistakes and can also be used to blend the color into the corners of the eye.
• Apply a mid-dark grey shimmery eye shadow to the outer corner of your eye. Buff the shadow into the crease, just above the liquid eyeliner.
• Use black, waterproof mascara and apply 2-3 coats on the tops and bottoms of the lashes. Fill in your brows for a more defined look. Sweep neutral (peachy or pink colored) blush over cheek bones and slightly on the apples.

Pouty red lips

• Use a lip liner that matches the lipstick you're using and only draw along the natural lip line. Use a lipstick with 8 or 12-hour wear. Try Revlon ColorStay Overtime liquid lip color in a shade like Ultimate Wine.

Finish off the lips with a high-gloss lip shine.

Styling my hair in the morning / afternoon is one thing I really dislike. Maybe not the only one, but something I would easily live without. It's funny sometimes, as I always put (some) effort to looking good - clothes wise - and yet leave my hair as they are after washing. I wished my hair look naturally good after I washed them, but the ends are getting quite thin as the day goes, and I don't even mind the frizz. What frizz - do you think THIS would be my problem? ha ha.

Well, there was the time when I straightened my hair after every wash - maybe reason why I don't like doing it is simply because I have to wash my hair every other day - oh, that's 3 - 4 times a week! Sometimes I have to wash it everyday if my fringe looks odd and I need to go out. But styling my hair so frequently is simply too much too ask. That would be my only wish if I had Golden Fish - please let my hair look always good naturally :) I should just start learning fishing now xxx

How To Style Curly Hair Scene?

All Scene Girls know hair is very important in Scene look, the bigger the better! When it comes to straight hair, backcombing is great way of getting 'big hair' look, but what about if you've got curly hair? Well, you can use it to your advantage that your hair is naturally poofy and never falls flat! You can straighten only your bangs and top layers, leaving bottom layers au naturale...
After you wash your hair, put some mousse in it - not too much so it doesn't look greasy, just a handfull for mid-length hair should be enough. Plate it while stil damp and leave it overnight. In the morning it will be crinkly but tamed. Then straighten shorter layers and side fringe if you have one. It should give you nice poofy hair at the bottom, which you can leave as it is, or make side ponytail or loose plait. Add some accessories, ie. hair bows, hair bands and jumbo jewellry and you're done!

Gold Nail Polish - No No :/

yes, i wanted to experiment with new make up for once (you can say nail polish is a make up?) and bought this gold glittery (yikes) nail polish, which looked real sophisticated in a bottle. And so I thought that would make me look like one sophisticated woman. FAR from that, oh my dear...
The nail polish looks like it's part of one of these childish make up sets, the little girls got for her 5th birthday... It's tacky, glitter won't come off completely when I want to remove it, looks cheap and nasty on. Booo, I always end up looking cheap when I want to experiment with new different look - I should stick to known and tested ways, the same nail polish, eye make up, hair (now that's area i don't want to experiment) - you know what I mean :) Off to look for better nail polish remover...
